Former Oklahoma State Writing Project Director Named Dean of UND’s College of Education and Human Development

Dr. Shelbie Witte, a professor at Oklahoma State University and director emeritus of the Oklahoma State University Writing Project, has been appointed the next dean of the University of North Dakota's College of Education and Human Development, effective July 1, taking over from interim dean Sheryl Hunter. Witte, who holds the Kim and Chuck Watson Endowed Chair in Education and serves as the Senior Director of Teacher Education at Oklahoma State, has a background as an English teacher and has previously worked as an assistant professor at Florida State University.
