Funded by a $5.1 million grant from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Comprehensive Literacy State Development program, the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) through the Gateway Writing Project has expanded its educational offerings, introducing three professional learning pathways. These pathways cover diverse aspects of literacy and include initiatives like creating hallway libraries; promoting source-based argumentation based on the National Writing Project's College, Career, and Community Writers Program (C3WP); and extending the year-round summer institute.
