The Malta Writing Programme (MWP) was founded in 2001 by the Institute of Linguistics, University of Malta, in Msida. In 2003 management of the site transferred to the Foundation for Educational Services, in Mtarfa, under the supervision of the Department of Curriculum Management at the Ministry of Education.
