Blogs and Internet videos aren't just for fun anymore. Anyone can create a mini-Wikipedia about anything.

Local teachers gathered in New Paltz early Saturday morning to learn about how to use newer Internet technologies as tools in the classroom.

The conference was called "Beyond The Web: Connecting To The World" and it was hosted by the Hudson Valley Writing Project at the Ulster BOCES conference center, a building on the outskirts of the Village of New Paltz funded by the county and used as an additional space for county teachers and students.
