Annual Meeting Orientation

This orientation session will highlight strategies for making the most of your attendance at the Annual Meeting. Especially designed for first-time attendees, the session will help you identify which sessions are more applicable to site development and which to classroom practice. Ample time will be dedicated for participants to ask specific questions.

General Session: Our Writing and Learning Connect Us

9:30am - 11:30am Grand Hyatt, 4th floor, Texas Ballroom
Join your colleagues at the NWP General Session on Friday morning. This gathering of writing project teachers, site leaders, educators, and special guests is the keystone event of the Annual Meeting.

NWP Social

5:30pm - 7:00pm Grand Hyatt, 4th Floor, Texas Ballroom
Unwind and catch up with colleagues at the end of a lively and information-packed day at the annual NWP Social. Enjoy the hors d'oeuvres, no-host bar, and spirited conversations as you make plans for a night out in San Antonio.

Dinner with San Antonio Writing Project Colleagues

Join local San Antonio teacher-consultants at their favorite restaurants and experience a taste of real San Antonio. Participation is limited to the first 40 people who sign up—so stop by the local site table in the Grand Hyatt's 4th floor ballroom foyer by noon Friday to be sure to be included. Meet in the lobby by Perks Cafe at 7:00pm to go to dinner.
